ARQIS is once again one of Germany’s recommendable commercial law firms regularly presented by the news magazine Focus in a special edition. ARQIS was awarded as Top Commercial Law Firm 2016 in the fields of labour law and M&A.

The labour law team around » Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier « regularly advises the multi-sector retailer Tengelmann, e.g. with respect to the planned merger of Kaiser’s Tengelmann and Edeka. In addition, the team recently obtained a landmark decision before the Federal Labour Court regarding the limitation of employment contracts in connection with homeworking.

The transaction team has recently attracted attention with large-cap and mid-cap deals. Thus, the team around » Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze « represented the sweets manufacturer Katjes at the entry into the vegan supermarket chain Veganz. It furthermore advised the nursing home operator Alloheim during the acquisition of the AGO Group, which operates 14 senior residence centers throughout Germany. For the first time, the M&A team acted for the TRIGO Group in the acquisition of the Quality Assurance Service Provider Böllinger.

The Focus Magazine publishing house commissioned the market research company Statista in Hamburg to research the top commercial law firms in Germany for a total of 24 fields of law. Assessment parameters included recommendations by competitors in other law firms as well as employees in legal departments of companies.
