The Duesseldorf office of ARQIS Rechtsanwälte will be strengthened on March 1, 2020 with the employment law specialist Tobias Neufeld as equity partner. Until the establishment of his own law firm in December 2018 the 46-year-old worked for Allen & Overy. There he most recently acted as global head of the Employment & Benefits practice group, head of the German data protection practice, co-head of the German pension group and head of the labour law group in Duesseldorf.
Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier, head of the labour law practice and Managing Partner at ARQIS, explains: “We are very pleased to have won Tobias Neufeld, a renowned labour lawyer and pension expert who is also known in the market for his data protection expertise and innovative solutions. With him we will reposition our consulting approach”. The labour law team at ARQIS grows to 15 professionals.
“Classic labour law advice is no longer the best solution for companies”, says Tobias Neufeld. “I am therefore pleased to become a part of ARQIS and, together with Dr. Andrea-Panzer-Heemeier and her team, to launch the innovative HR.Law by ARQIS consulting model”. HR.Law by ARQIS is the holistic advisory solution to the complex and digital challenges that companies face in HR today.“ CHRO, executives in HR and legal counsels want a strategically thinking trusted advisor who helps them to develop and implement their projects, reduce risks and provide answers, regardless of which legal or specialist area the expertise has to come from,” explains Neufeld.
Tobias Neufeld began his career with Ashurst and Clearly Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in London, Frankfurt am Main and Munich. He then became a partner at Taylor Wessing and joined Allen & Overy in 2010. He is a lecturer at the University of Münster and a lecturer at the International School of Management (ISM) in Cologne.
