ARQIS advises Shimadzu on acquisition of infraserv Vakuumservice

ARQIS has advised Shimadzu Corporation on the acquisition of all shares in infraserv Vakuumservice GmbH, which is involved in servicing turbomolecular pumps in Europe. infraserv Vakuumservice has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Shimadzu.
With 25 employees, infraserv Vakuumservice has reached annual net sales of 4.9 million euros in 2017. The company is based near Munich and servicing vacuum equipment for major semiconductor and equipment manufacturers in Europe. It has advanced technological capabilities and good relationships with their customers. Shimadzu has already outsourced turbomolecular pump service work to infraserv Vakuumservice.
The acquisition marks a step towards further development of Shimadzu’s turbomolecular pump business in the European market and towards reinforcement of local sales activities and technical support.
