ARQIS has advised the Dutch Pon Holdings B.V. (Pon) on a minority stake in the Düsseldorf-based car dealership group Moll. Pon is thus the first external shareholder of the Moll Group. The investment required clearance from the EU antitrust authorities, which raised no objections to the transaction.

Pon, based in Amsterdam, is the general importer for all Volkswagen Group brands in the Netherlands. In the U.S., the group distributes the Ferrari and McLaren sports car brands, among others. With brands such as Gazelle, Cannondale, Schwinn and Santa Cruz, Pon is also one of the world’s largest bicycle manufacturers.

The Moll Group is one of Germany’s largest car dealers. The family-owned company has eleven different global automotive brands in its portfolio and sold more than 19,600 new and used cars at a total of 11 locations last year.
