ARQIS advises AVS Verkehrssicherung GmbH on the acquisition of Schötz Verkehrs- und Arbeitsstellensicherung
06. February 2019
ARQIS has advised AVS Verkehrssicherung GmbH (“AVS”), a portfolio company of Triton Fonds IV, on the acquisition of Schötz Verkehrs- und Arbeitsstellensicherung GmbH (Schötz), a provider of traffic and construction site security based in Fürth, Germany. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The merger is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.
Schötz Verkehrs- und Arbeitsstelleensicherung has many years of experience in the field of construction sites, traffic and job security, both for smaller construction site projects, as well as for large construction sites. The company operates primarily in the area of Northern Bavaria and works closely with property developers, cities and municipalities.
Schötz is known as a reliable partner for customers and other clients nationwide and therefore represents an ideal complement to the range of services of the AVS Group.
AVS is a leading specialist provider of highway traffic safety services in Germany. The Company, headquartered in Kuerten, offers all essential services throughout highway traffic-safety projects. These services range from initial planning and obtaining permits to complete construction site setup and security. AVS has a nationwide presence with 14 locations across Germany and around 600 employees.
This is the fourth transaction that ARQIS accompanied for AVS. Shortly before the turn of the year the team around Jörn-Christian Schulze already advised AVS at Traffics A/S, a Danish provider in the field of construction site and traffic safety based in Gadstrup (Denmark). In October 2018, ARQIS again supported AVS in the acquisition of Verkehrssicherungen Plank GmbH based in Remseck am Neckar, also a construction site and traffic safety provider. In August 2018, ARQIS also assisted AVS in the acquisition of KMK Projekt, a leading provider of traffic safety products and permanent road marking in Latvia.
