ARQIS has advised AVS Verkehrssicherung GmbH (AVS), a portfolio company of Triton Fonds IV, on the acquisition of Lorenz GmbH (Lorenz), a renowned provider in the field of road marking and construction site safety with headquarters in Wittstock/Dosse, Germany. The merger is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Since 1992, Lorenz has had many years of experience in the application of high-quality and sustainable marking materials, both in permanent and temporary applications. In addition, Lorenz sees itself as a reliable supplier and outfitter of construction site security systems. The company is primarily active in the greater Mecklenburg and Berlin area, but also nationwide and works closely together with state property developers, cities and municipalities, as well as private construction companies.

“Lorenz employs more than 30 people, is known nationwide as a reliable service provider at 3 locations and is therefore an ideal addition to the AVS Group’s range of services,” explains Andreas Schwingeler, COO at AVS.

AVS is a leading specialist provider of road safety services in Germany and Europe. The company is headquartered in Kürten and offers all essential services related to road safety projects. These range from initial planning and obtaining permits to complete site construction and safety aspects. AVS has an international presence at 21 locations. In Germany, AVS is represented at 18 locations throughout Germany. Internationally AVS has one location in Latvia and 2 locations in Denmark. AVS employs around 730 people.

This is now the fifth transaction that ARQIS has accompanied for AVS. Most recently, Jörn-Christian Schulze’s team advised AVS on the acquisition of Schötz Verkehrs- und Arbeitsstellensicherung GmbH (Schötz), a provider of traffic and construction site security based in Fürth.
