ARQIS advised Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen SE on the acquisition of Senator Beteiligungen GmbH. The acquisition is subject to approval by cartel authorities and is to be effectuated as of 1 January 2016.

Senator Group, which is based in Lübeck, runs 48 retirement homes with approximately 4,300 healthcare beds, two home care services and about 700 apartments for assisted living. With the acquisition of Senator Group, Alloheim takes over one of the last major traditional companies in the care sector. Senator Group was established in 1983 and has grown continuously by building and acquisitions of new homes. The homes of Senator Group’s portfolio are primarily located in Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia. Due to this acquisition, Alloheim, seated in Düsseldorf, grows to a total of approximately 15,000 healthcare beds and apartments for assisted living.
