ARQIS has supported the Munich-based multi-family holding Liberta Partners in the acquisition of Kienzle Automotive GmbH. The transaction was carried out via Liberta Partners Fund II in the course of a succession partnership. The transaction is expected to be completed in early November.
Kienzle is the leading German provider of sales and related services for networked devices and systems in the automotive aftermarket sector. In the area of data management and fleet telematics, Kienzle works with established software developers to create customer-specific evaluations and readout options. The medium-sized company is based in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
“The name Kienzle has stood for reliability in the transport industry for over 70 years”, says Nils von Wietzlow, partner at Liberta and responsible for succession solutions. “We want to continue to be a reliable partner in the vehicle technology sector and consistently expand the telematics sector by strengthening the sales system”. Liberta Partners invests in companies in German-speaking countries with clear operational and strategic development potential, especially in succession situations and corporate carve-outs.
ARQIS has already been active for Liberta Partners in previous transactions. The team around Dr. Mauritz von Einem has been in charge of the acquisition of the Liechtenstein machine building company FMA Mechatronic Solutions as well as the takeover of the tour operator Ameropa, a former subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG.
