ARQIS ADVISES INDIAN LISTED KPIT ON TAKEOVER OF TECHNICA ENGINEERING
27. September 2022
ARQIS has advised Indian listed company KPIT Technologies with its German and US-American subsidiaries KPIT Technologies GmbH and KPIT Technologies Inc. on the purchase of Technica Engineering.
KPIT Technologies is a leading global software integration partner for the automotive and mobility industry. With development centers in Europe, USA, Japan, China, Thailand and India, KPIT works with leading companies in the automotive and mobility industry. Technica Engineering, with headquarters in Munich and branches in the USA and Spain, specializes in production-ready system prototyping that covers aspects of system architecture, communication, prototyping and integration. With the takeover of Technica Engineering, KPIT Technologies intends to combine the comprehensive know-how of both companies and create a one-stop shop for the industry to transform towards software-defined vehicle (SDV).
The deal is expected to be closed by the end of October 2022, post fulfillment of customary closing conditions, and at the end of it, Technica Engineering will be fully owned by KPIT Technologies.
The ARQIS team around Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze has been advising KPIT Technologies since 2016. KPIT Technologies relied on the advice of ARQIS, both with the acquisition of Future Mobility Solutions and the sale of KPIT medini Technologies and the entry into MicroFuzzy, an automotive engineering service provider based in Munich.
