ARQIS advised DPE Deutsche Private Equity (“DPE”) on the sale of its majority stake in Green Mobility Holding GmbH (“GMH”) to European private equity firm Rivean Capital.

Green Mobility Holding is one of Europe’s leading technology-based (e-)bike leasing provider. Through its subsidiaries Company Bike and mein-dienstrad.de, it enters into framework agreements with corporate clients who provide bicycles to their employees as lessees. The employees benefit from tax concessions as well as from services such as maintenance and insurance. GMH is headquartered in Munich and has more than 200 employees across Germany. Last year, the company generated revenues of around €140 million.

The previous majority shareholder DPE is one of the largest growth investors in the DACH region. Volker Hichert, founder and chairman of DPE’s advisory board, said: “Despite our clear focus on growth companies, it is also rare at DPE that the management team, together with the founders and capital providers, succeed in multiplying the turnover within two years. This is an extraordinary achievement, and it has been a great pleasure to contribute to it. With Rivean Capital on board, we are confident that we will be equally successful in the next phase of strong growth.”

With the new majority owner Rivean Capital, the company aims to continue its growth path and further expand its market share in Germany and neighboring European countries. DPE remains invested with a minority share. Further shares are held by the founders and management of the two subsidiaries, Company Bike and mein-dienstrad.de.
