ARQIS appoints new Equity Partner from own ranks
15. November 2018
As of 1 January 2019, ARQIS appoints Dr. Mirjam Boche as Equity Partner. She has been a part of the M&A/Corporate team since 2008 and was appointed Salary Partner in 2014. She is particularly experienced in advising insurance companies with regard to M&A and D&O insurances.
Recently, Dr. Mirjam Boche has acquired several international insurances companies as clients, but also deepened her classic M&A work. For instance, she and her team advised Oerlikon on transactions in Germany and the founders of IMD Natural Solution on the sale of their company to LANXESS. ‘JUVE Handbuch’ and ‘Wirtschaftswoche’ name her a highly recommended lawyer for M&A/Corporate law as well as manager liability matters and highlight her as an expert for W&I insurances.
“Since she started at ARQIS ten years ago, Dr. Mirjam Boche has impressively developed her business,” Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier, Managing Partner at ARQIS, says about the mother of two. “We are especially glad that we can appoint an Equity Partner from our own ranks. To us, this is gratifying proof that we have talent and business personalities directly among our own ranks.”
Along the same lines, ARQIS also appoints four of its Managing Associates as Counsel starting from next year. In Düsseldorf, they are Patrick Schöldgen and Dr. Deniz Günal of the Japan Desk as well as Dr. Eva Trost of the labor law team. In Munich, the law firm strengthens its IP team and appoints Dr. Philipp Maier as Counsel.
The position of Counsel is not only intended to be a permanent position at ARQIS, but will also be a normal step on the way to partnership as of 2019. For this purpose, the position of Counsel was restructured and complemented with an attractive salary. In principal, a direct promotion from Managing Associate to Salary Partner will still be possible. The position of Counsel offers candidates for partnership more time for intensive preparation, supported by ARQIS Academy and especially by individual promotional measures like individual coaching.
